January 1946	The Taniguchi Petrochemical Research Institute (TANIGUCHI YUKA KENKYUJYO) was established during the oil shortage of post-war Japan. The main goal of the company was to make a contribution to the Japanese oil refiner industry that was destroyed by the war.
April 1949	We signed a contract with the NIPPON OIL CORPORATION as a special agent. Nagoya business office opened.
May 1949	Reorganized our company as "TANIGUCHI OIL CORPORATION" with a capital of 1 million yen.

August 1953	Joined the JAPAN LUBOIL REFINERS ASSOCIATION as a director company from its beginning. Prepared a management system based on a special agent business and a lubricating oil business.
September 1959	We were badly hit by Typhoon Vera, but overcame it.

October 1960	Continuous pressure-reducing distillation apparatus was completed. We start full-scale oil refining. Yokkaichi city office opened.
January 1962	Taniguchi Petroleum Refining Co., Ltd was established as an independent oil refining department by joint investment from the Taniguchi Petrochemical Research Institute and the NIPPON OIL CORPORATION. Taniguchi Petroleum Refining Co., Ltd became a general oil trading company based on a special agent business, sales of the Taniguchi oil refining products and joint sales with the NIPPON OIL CORPORATION.
March 1962	Transferred the head office from Kawagoe cho Mie gun, Mie to Yokkaichi city, Mie.
November 1962	Tokyo business office opened.
December 1962	Started gas station business.
April 1966	Adopted a new system based on a self‐supporting accounting system.
June 1967	Established an oil terminal in Kawagoe cho Mie gun, Mie.

November 1975	Increased the capital to 35 million yen.

December 1980	Osaka business office opened.
April 1983	The gas stand department became an independent company as the TANIGUCHI KOUSAN CORPORATION.
July 1983	Increased the capital to 100 million yen.
June 1988	Invested in CTY Co., Ltd.

February 1990	Established an oil terminal in Amagasuka. Expanded to diverse oil terminal business. Enhanced computer function. Established ASTEC Co., Ltd.
April 1993	Upgraded Tokyo business office and Nagoya office into branches.
June 1997	Expanded oil terminal tanks and transit facilities.

June 2001	Established AEOS Co., Ltd. Started a large scale gas stand management business.
January 2003	Transferred the Head office to 1-13-43 Unomori Yokkaichi city, Mie
May 2006	ISO14001 Certified.
April 2008	Merged the SS department from Taniguchi Kosan Co., Ltd. with AEOS Co., Ltd.
June 2009	Established SELTEX Co., Ltd.

May 2010	Established TERRASE Co., Ltd.
July 2010	Merged the Sales department of the Nagoya branch with the Sales department of the Head office. Upgraded the Osaka business office into the Osaka branch and the Kawagoe oil terminal into a business office.
March 2011	Established Omoteya Co., Ltd.
March 2013	Completion of Sumitomo Wiring TANIX Building in front of Kintetsu Yokkaichi Station.
March 2015	Started power distribution project by mega solar power generation.
July 2015	Sumitomo Wiring Systems, Japan Transcity and Mie Toyota established Mie hydrogen station.
September 2016	Completed a new building next to the former head office on the occasion of the 70th anniversary, and start business at the same place.
March 2018	Completion of rental condominium (Junesse Yokkaichi) on the former headquarter site.
April 2019	Merged with Aeos Corporation and Seltex Corporation. Newly launched Taniguchi Retail Corporation.

October 2020	Changed the company name to TANIX CORPORATION.
July 2021	Transferred the sales business of solar power generation systems to Terrace Corporation.
August 2021	Established Poret Co., Ltd.

TANIX CORPORATION achieved the ISO14001 certification on May 2006.
